salaams!

it seems like forever since i've updated! i must admit my addiction to twitter may have contributed to my absence! It's like instant gratification lol. so let me just do a quick update before maghrib:

twitter: I'm @HijabiApprentic look me up! I already found a couple other bloggers there :).

my son: Zach will be 9 months next week insha Allah! He is crawling at warp speed, eating solids, still sleeping through the night, he has 2 teeth and can stand briefly by himself. Masha Allah. I think I will be transitioning him to cloth diaper soon. He still nurses frequently and we still cosleep.

deen-y stuffs: i'm still teaching Sunday school and alhamdulillah we are seeing some progress in the children. I have to say teaching with a 8 month old on my hip is not easy so I'm looking forward to summer break.

I've had an iman boost recently. Prayer have become easier, I've been listening to Qur'an alot (I love Abu Bakr Ash Shaitry's recitation), insha Allah I will start to memorize another surah soon and revise what I do know.

socializing: I think I have officially left the anti-social club lol. I have been getting together with my friends regularly and trying to keep in touch with those who live out of state via email/facebook/twitter etc. I need to start back letter writing. I love the art of writing letters.

family: my husbands uncle is coming in from abroad to visit with us and I'm excited about that!

i've decided to forgive my father (again) and give him his rights as a parent Islamically.

the step kiddos are great! my SILs are still awesome.
